Required Courses Deadline
The minimum required courses must be completed
by the end of the Spring semester (spring quarter) of the
year for which admission is sought. Very few students are
accepted with only minimum requirements. Grades for required
courses must be received by MU College of Veterinary Medicine,
Office of Academic Affairs, by July 1.
Requesting Application Materials
The University of Missouri does not accept
applications from Missouri resident applications through the Veterinary Medical
Colleges Application Service (VMCAS). Our Direct application
is found at www.cvm.missouri.edu.
Non-Missouri residents may apply by completing a Direct application
OR by submitting the VMCAS application and our Supplemental
application from above website. Deadline for Direct and Supplemental
application, Nov. 1.
Requirements for Application
Applicants should provide one official
transcripts from each college or university attended to the
University of MO College of Veterinary Medicine on or prior
to November 1, 2011. A second official transcript
that includes all fall semester/quarter course grades must
be received on or before February 1, 2012.
Transcripts must be official and issued by the institution
where courses were taken. However, they do not have to be
mailed directly from the Registrar's Office.

Applicants must meet all academic requirements
regardless of degrees held. If currently enrolled in a graduate
program, an applicant must submit his or her application with a letter from his or her major professor stating knowledge
and approval of the student’s application to the College
of Veterinary Medicine.
A minimum combined score of 640 must be
obtained on the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE,
and a minimum of 1.5 on the analytical portion. If the MCAT
is taken, a score of 15 or greater must be obtained. Invitation
for personal interviews are extended to qualified applicants. Scores must be attained within the last three years.
Scores obtained prior to Spring 2009 not considered. No minimum score or revised GRE General Test required.

Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation from
influential citizens carry no more importance than letters
from other individuals. Applicants submitting the Direct Application
are allowed to list up to four evaluators. At least three
evaluations must be returned to the MU College of Veterinary
Medicine before Jan. 1. At least one evaluator must be a veterinarian.
Additional letters are not forwarded to the Admissions Committee.
