Guidelines on the Composition of Standing Committees (Revised September 2005)
Committee appointments and chair assignments are made by the Dean unless stated otherwise. Appointments take effect September 30. Appointment length is for 3 years unless specified otherwise. Whenever possible, no more than two committee members should be replaced in any year. General committee responsibilities are listed, but additional charges may be added by Dean. Student committee members are nominated by the executive board of the Student Chapter of the AVMA. Students are appointed for one-year terms.
