Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery Faculty Position
Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery Faculty Position. The University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, is soliciting applications for a full-time Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgeon. The position will be tenure track (Assistant Professor) or non-tenure track (Clinical Instructor or Assistant Teaching Professor) depending on the qualifications and professional goals of the successful applicant. Required qualifications include a DVM or equivalent degree, diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or completion of a residency program in Small Animal Surgery, and eligibility for veterinary licensure in the State of Missouri. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
This position is designed to provide teaching and clinical service and to support research and investigative activities in Soft Tissue Surgery (STS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine, and to foster collaborations within the College of Veterinary Medicine and with colleagues in the School of Medicine. Teaching activities will include (1) lecture and laboratory instruction in didactic courses, (2) supervision of (and rounds with) clinical veterinary students on required and elective small animal STS rotations in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, (3) training of small animal surgery residents, and (4) training of small animal interns.
