The formation of this committee was mandated by the Faculty Policy Committee. The responsibilities of the Administrator Evaluation Committee are as follows:
- To develop the evaluation questions/template to be used for the evaluation.
- To carry out the evaluation and assessment of CVM administrators.
- Disseminate the evaluation of the administrator to the faculty.
Committee makeup: Members are elected by the faculty and should be tenured or clinical associate professors or professors and must not have more than a 50% administrative position. The committee will be composed of one elected member each from the Departments of Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine & Surgery, and Veterinary Pathobiology (3), one from the VMDL (1), one from the VHC (1), and one from the Faculty Policy Committee (1). The committee member from the Faculty Policy Committee will serve as the Chair of the committee. All members will serve a three-year term.
Meetings and Minutes: The committee will meet as necessary for the setup, administration, and post-evaluation analysis and dissemination for a given administrator. The committee will provide a copy of minutes to the Faculty Policy Committee.
