The College of Veterinary Medicine team that participated in the Mizzou Black Faculty and Staff Organization Golf Tournament Aug. 27 took home first place. The BFSO is an organization that assists in supporting black faculty and staff members on the Mizzou campus. The winning team was made up of Billy Jamison, CVM senior business support specialist, and Kerry Washington and Brandon Roberts, who golf regularly with CVM employees. They won the tournament’s A-flight with a score of 57, 13 under par, in a four-man scramble format. CVM Dean Carolyn Henry, DVM, MS, assisted in putting together the team, which edged out the second place, “Team Turner,” by a single stroke.
“We would like to thank Dean Henry for allowing us to team up and represent the College of Veterinary Medicine,” Jamison said. “I said we had a chance and the CVM team came out on top.”
This third annual event benefited students with financial needs and the Tiger Food Pantry, a campus food pantry that provides food resources and education to members of the University of Missouri family and University of Missouri Health Care workers.
