Alumni Weekend FAQs

Questions about Alumni Weekend? We have answers!

It is not my class reunion year. May I still attend?

Of course! While we celebrate specific class milestones, everyone is invited back to campus for the event.

I have special dietary requirements. Will food options be available at all the events?

Absolutely, but we need your help. When you are registering for the reunion, you will have the chance to indicate your dietary details. Please indicate your needs (with details) on your registration form, and we will work with our catering department to ensure they are met.

What should I wear to the reunion events?

Although the dress code is casual for the weekend, you might find the below helpful.

  • Reunion Dinner apparel – Business casual
  • 50th Reunion – Business casual
  • Tailgate apparel – Your favorite black and gold outfit!

When is Alumni Weekend 2023?

Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16

Are spouses/partners/significant others/children invited?

Absolutely! We encourage returning alumni to bring their entire families. Children 12 and younger are complimentary and do not require a registration fee.

Will my football tickets be mailed to me?

Unfortunately, we are not able to send out the tickets. Tickets must be picked up during either the Friday or Saturday events.

Will there be transportation available?

The college will provide a complimentary shuttle service to and from the stadium and pick-up times will be posted at the reunion. If your schedule differs from the shuttle, please find alternate transportation. Provided below are resources for transportation in Columbia, MO. Public transportation will be a user’s expense. Thank you for understanding. If you prefer to walk, the distance is 1 mile across campus.

Giving to the MU College of Veterinary Medicine

Giving to the College of Veterinary MedicineThe MU College of Veterinary Medicine is Missouri’s only institution that confers the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Thank you for exploring how you can partner with us to make a positive difference in the lives of animals and people.

Whether your interest in supporting our mission to teach, heal, discover and serve is inspired by care your pet received, the desire to help less fortunate animals and their families, an interest in helping the next generation of veterinarians pursue their dreams, or the wish to be a part of a medical breakthrough, we are grateful for your thoughtful consideration. We have many programs that will benefit from additional financial support.

Learn more about how your gift can help the College of Veterinary Medicine.

BIOMED Online

In addition to the four-year professional curriculum leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, the college offers a variety of online (BIOMED) courses. Courses serve as electives for other degree programs, a component to the online health science and bachelor of general studies degrees, as partial requirements in the MU Pre-Veterinary Medicine Scholars Program, and to earn either a thesis or non-thesis master’s degree. BIOMED courses are also recommended electives in meeting the requirements to apply for a DVM program.
