The University of Missouri’s PAVE Evaluated Clinical Experience (ECE) Program begins with an orientation period in early May, followed by clinical rotations that start in June and continue for approximately one year.
Our first PAVE ECE cohort began in May 2015. Since then, approximately 60 candidates have successfully completed the program.

Participants in the PAVE program are invited to apply to complete an Evaluated Clinical Experience (ECE) at Mizzou.
How to apply
Step 1: Prepare your application
Submit the following materials in the order listed below:
- Letter of intent that includes:
- Your experience
- Your education
- Your goals as a veterinarian
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- QSE Score Report
- Applicants must have passed the QSE before applying for admission to the program.
- NAVLE results (optional)
- If you have taken the NAVLE, please include your score report. While not required, this information will be considered as part of your application review.
- Academic transcript
- Three letters of reference
Step 2: Submit your application
Combine all required application materials into one PDF file and submit them here.
Step 3: Pay the application fee
Submit the $100 nonrefundable application fee before the Nov. 1 application deadline to be considered for the program.
