The Missouri Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) Convention is more than just a gathering — it’s a celebration of innovation, collaboration and the shared passion for advancing animal health. At this year’s event, The University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine has an extensive lineup of talks and opportunities designed to inspire, educate and connect veterinary professionals throughout the Midwest.
Here are five ways to connect with us at the convention.
1. Hear updates and presentations from dozens of Mizzou CVM experts.
As the state’s only institution to award the doctor of veterinary medicine degree, Mizzou is home to world-class faculty who are leading groundbreaking research, advancing animal health and training the next generation of veterinarians. From presentations on Avian Influenza, antimicrobial use and more, we’re here to help you continue your education.
2. Go hands-on with opportunities on campus.
Join us Saturday, Jan. 31, for a guided tour of our recently expanded Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (VMDL).
On Sunday, Feb. 1, the VMDL will also host a hands-on laboratory session to observe a full necropsy demonstration and receive guided practice. These labs provide practical experience in important sample collection, diagnostics and case interpretation.
3. Schedule an on-site rabies titer test and booster.
Rabies prevention is essential for veterinary professionals, and the VMDL has one again partnered with MVMA to offer convenient and affordable human rabies titer testing and rabies booster. Appointments dates are available Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31 during exhibit hall hours. Walk-in service may be available for titer testing, however, appointments will be given priority. Rabies booster will only be available as a walk-in appointment, and on a first-come first-served basis.
4. Join us for breakfast with the college.
Start your Sunday morning with a productive and engaging breakfast with us from 7 to 7:45 a.m. This buffet-style event offers an excellent opportunity to connect with Mizzou veterinarians, researchers and faculty members in an inviting and collaborative environment. Attendees will have the chance to engage in meaningful discussions about the latest advancements in veterinary medicine, explore potential collaborations and gain insights from some of the leading experts in the field. Dean Srinand Sreevatsan will also give a college update.
5. Stop by our booths to learn more and connect.
The CVM will have multiple booths throughout the exhibit hall. Whether you’re seeking information on our latest research breakthroughs, exploring specialized programs or looking to discuss opportunities for collaboration, our team will be on hand to provide personalized guidance. Don’t miss the chance to engage with our experts and discover how we can help you elevate your practice.
