Etiology:  Alveolar/bronchiolar adenomas are benign tumors which arise from the respiratory epithelium.

Incidence:  The incidence of alveolar/bronchiolar adenomas is common in some strains.

Clinical Signs:  There are usually no clinical signs.

Pathology:  Grossly, adenomas appear as discrete, yellow-white nodules.  There are three different histolomorphologic patterns of adenomas which include solid, papillary and mixed [1].  Tumors usually cause slight to moderate compression of the parenchyma.

Diagnosis:  Diagnosis can be made upon necropsy and histopathologic examination of tissue.
