Reovirus-3

Etiology:  Reovirus is a nonenveloped RNA virus of the family Reoviridae.

Incidence:  Incidence of infection is rare.

Transmission:  Transmission occurs via fecal-oral, direct contact and respiratory routes as well by exposure to fomites.

Clinical Signs:  There are usually no clinical signs associated with natural infection with Reovirus.

Pathology:  There is usually no pathology associated with natural infection with reovirus.

Diagnosis:   Diagnosis is made using serology (MFI, IFA) or PCR.
