The Missouri Veterinary Medical Foundation (MVMF) recently announced John Dodam, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVAA, has earned a place on the Veterinary Honor Roll — an honor that reflects the deep appreciation of clients, colleagues and communities whose lives have been shaped by his work.

The MVMF Veterinary Honor Roll celebrates veterinarians whose careers exemplify excellence, leadership and service, preserving their legacy within the foundation’s Veterinary Museum. Honorees are recognized not only for their clinical expertise, but for the meaningful and lasting connections they build throughout their careers.

Dodam’s inclusion on the Honor Roll builds on his recent recognition as the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association Veterinarian of the Year, the association’s highest and most prestigious award.

Together, these honors highlight his reputation as a skilled clinician, dedicated mentor and engaged leader in organized veterinary medicine, as well as his enduring impact on students, colleagues and the broader veterinary community.

“Being named to the Veterinary Honor Roll is deeply humbling,” Dodam said. “I don’t feel that I’ve done anything extraordinary in my career; rather, I have focused on educating veterinarians who are worthy of the public’s trust and who understand how veterinary medicine benefits animals, people and the environment. The future of our profession is inseparable from the quality of mentoring we provide — from community practice through professional training — and I’m hopeful that my contributions will live on through those I have had the privilege to train.”
