Regeneron and the Society for Science recently named Saathvik Kannan, a soon-to-be senior at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, winner of a Regeneron Young Scientist Award. The 2023 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair presented high school students with the opportunity to compete for two awards of $50,000 for innovative and science-focused research.

While pursuing his veterinary studies remotely, Murray found himself confined to the same four walls of his apartment for most of the day with his dog, Heidi, nearby.

Pet Passports: MU Launches Rabies Lab for Pets Traveling Abroad

The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine has launched a rabies antibody testing service within their Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (VMDL). The service will provide certified test results for companion animals traveling with their owners to Hawaii and other international locations.

In February 2022, Judy and Tom Williams of Overland Park, Kansas, brought Nora, their 11-year-old Maine Coon, to their local veterinarian for a routine teeth cleaning. During this visit, their veterinarian, Ellen Gloor, DVM, a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, discovered a cyst on the bottom of Nora’s tongue.
