Ravi Barabote, PhD, an associate teaching professor in the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, has received the Excellence in Advising Award from the Mizzou Advisors Forum and Office of the Provost, highlighting his impact on undergraduate student success.
Barabote, a faculty member in the Department of Pathobiology and Integrative Biomedical Sciences, was recognized in the Faculty Advisor category, which honors individuals who go above and beyond in guiding students through their academic and professional journeys.
This is the second time Barabote has been honored with an award by the Forum, receiving the Advising Shout Out Award in 2024.
“Dr. Barabote is not only an incredible advisor, but an outstanding professor as well,” senior microbiology student Sidney Engelmeyer said. “He encourages his students and also instills confidence in them to help them succeed.”
Barabote has been advising undergraduate students since 2021, working closely with students to develop clear academic pathways and support their long-term success.
