Etiology: Mice serve as intermediate hosts for the cat tapeworm Taenia taeniaformis.
Incidence: The incidence of parasitism is rare.
Transmission: Infection occurs when mice ingest ova from food or bedding contaminated with cat feces.
Clinical Signs: There are no clinical signs.
Pathology: The cysticercoid cyst (Cysticercus fasciolaris) embeds in the liver.
