All undergraduate courses in the Microbiology program are taught by full-time departmental (VPB) faculty whose areas of expertise include bacteriology, immunology, parasitology, and virology. Descriptions of all departmental courses are available below.

Please note that only the courses with course numbers below 5000 are for the undergraduate program. Courses with course numbers above 5000 are for graduate degree programs. V_PBIO 1500: The Microbial World is for non-science majors only.

NOTE: The V_PBIO 2001 (5 credits lecture & lab) course has been split into V_PBIO 2010 (3 credits lecture) and V_PBIO 2011 (2 credits lab) courses. Either the old course (2001) or both new courses (2010 and 2011) are required for microbiology major and minor.
