The departmental NTT promotion committee is responsible for assessment of non-tenure track faculty members as their dossiers are submitted for promotion. This committee should also evaluate, on a yearly basis, departmental rules for NTT promotion to ensure that they are consistent with college and university rules.

The Departmental NTT Promotion Committee consists of 3 NTT and 2 TT faculty. The Committee is chaired by an elected NTT full Professor who serves for a three year term. All TT and NTT faculty in the department participate in the election of the chair. Dr. Joanne Kramer has been elected to serve as VMS Dept NTT Promotion Committee Chair August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2024. Dr. Dietrich Volkmann and Dr. Richard Meadows have been asked to serve on the committee August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022 to review a faculty member who will submit his dossier for promotion to the rank of full professor. NTT Dossiers will be due to VMS NTT Committee for review Nov 1, 2021. The NTT Committee will provide their recommendations to the VMS Dept Chair by December 1, 2021.
