Research Committee

The research committee is responsible for assessing the environment for research in the department. They consider policies and procedures which will facilitate the ability of departmental faculty to perform research and promote the research training of undergraduate, professional and graduate students; and house officers. They make recommendations which will promote successful research among faculty members (eg, guidelines for pre and post-award grant submissions).  This committee is also responsible for evaluating research protocols that utilize client-owned animals to ensure that they are sound, humane, and meet the requirements for informed consent. Recommendations of this committee will be made to the department chair.
