VETERINARY DIAGNOSTICS

As a board-certified veterinary microbiologist, I oversee the Bacteriology and Mycology section of the VMDL.  We assist our stakeholders in the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial and fungal diseases in multiple domestic and wild animal species.  My section works closely with the other sections within the VMDL to provide comprehensive diagnostic services to our clients.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Bacterial infectious diseases of domestic species and the host response.  Organisms of interest include Mycoplasma, Salmonella and Actinobacillus spp.  Additionally, research into animal protection during disasters.
