This committee may be convened to review and make recommendations to the department chair regarding alleged cases of faculty irresponsibility.  If the accused or the accuser is a member of the committee, he/she is disqualified from the committee for that case. If the accused is a teacher, the department committee must be adjusted to include peers of the same academic rank, in proportion to the department roster. In small departments, same-level peers may be appointed from related departments by mutual consent of the accused and the department Chairperson. The Chairperson shall supply the accused with a written report of the membership of the Department Committee on Faculty Responsibility.
